Mandy's Musings

Ramblings of romance author Madeline Baker/Amanda Ashley

Thursday, April 28, 2016

Well, it's been a busy few months. Since I've gotten the right back to a bunch of my old historical romances, I've been spending a lot of time trying to find new covers, since the old cover art belongs to my old publisher.

I gotta tell ya, a good cover artist is hard to find! And like so many things in life, I found one by accident. On Facebook! Ya gotta love the Internet. She's done two covers for me so far, and I love them both.

Hope to see Quinn's Lady published in the next few months. The Captive will be available on May 24th.

We've had some interesting weather lately. Earlier this month, we had thunder, lightning, and HAIL. I can't remember the last time we had hail in Southern California. It was really neat. And I've always loved thunder and lightning.

We could really use a lot more rain. The governor is telling everyone to conserve water, yet in the area where I live, they are building THOUSANDS of new homes. I'm sure a few of them will use water I don't know what the powers that be are thinking. Our freeways are already overcrowded, so now they want to add another few thousand cars. We're in the midst of a 4-year drought, so they want to build more homes. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Sorry. End of rant!

I can't believe it's almost May!

Wishing you all a happy Spring!!!!
