Rain, Rain, Go Away
Mudslides, landslides, houses and swimming pools sliding down hills...yes, this is sunny California, or it used to be! I’ve lived here all my life and I don’t ever remember a winter as wet and destructive as this one! I heard on the news that we’ve had something like 31 inches of rain since July 1st, which makes this the 4th wettest winter since they starting keeping track 130 yeas ago ( long before my time ). You can say what you want about living in the mountains, give me flat ground! No landslides, no floods. The worse thing that’s happened here is that one of the bridges is closed. I can live with that!
I finally got over my cold, or at least the worst of it. Nasty stuff! I was beginning to think it would never go away. I had a letter from my cousin, Sue today. She lives in Colorado. Seems she’s also been down with a bad cold. Guess it’s going around.
I’m really bummed out that the Phantom isn’t playing locally any more. I was hoping to see it one more time. Someone told me it was coming to video in May. See me smile.
I read in the paper the other day that Shrek 3 and Spiderman 3 would be coming out in 2007. Talk about planning ahead!
Speaking of planning ahead, I’m on the countdown to May 19th, when Star Wars comes out. My son is taking the day off. It’s tradition for us to see the Star Wars movies the day they open.
On that happy note, I’ll say goodnight.
