HAPPY NEW YEAR
Hard to believe that, in less than 4 hours (on the West Coast) it will be 2005. How the time flies. It seems like only yesterday that we were all wondering what would happen to our computers and the world whenthe year 2000 rolled around. Here we are, 5 years later. The computers are still working. The world is still turning, although not happily in many parts of the world.
Before you go to bed tonight, don't forget to say a prayer for the families of servicemen and women who have lost loves ones in the ongoing war in Iraq and other places. And don't forget to pray for the survivors in Sri Lanka and the other parts of the world that were devastated by the tsunami only a few days ago. So much grief and heartache. It's so hard to believe that so many lives could be lost so quickly. My heart goes out to those lost and those left behind.
My prayer for the new year is that the leaders of nations will put aside their differences, real or imagined, and find a path to peace.
God bless you and yours whether you believe in Him or not.
