Farewell 2009

Well, it's been an interesting year. Our country is deeper in debt than ever before, people I know are out of work and in danger of losing their homes. One can only hope that the next year will be better. Sadly, I'm afraid it will only get worse.

Nevertheless, I have much to be grateful for. I'm grateful that our family is doing okay. I'm grateful for my family, for their love and laughter.

I'm grateful for my friends, for their love and support, for being there to lend a listening ear when I needed it.

I'm grateful for the talent I've been blessed with and the readers who take the time to write me. Many of them have also become friends even though we've never met.

I'm grateful for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect our nation - firemen, policemen, the men and women in the Armed Services.

I wish you all a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year, and hope you'll take a few minutes to pray for our Nation. We need all the help we can get.

God bless America in 2010.

Yes, things could get worse. I have to agree with you on that one. Thank goodness hope doesn't cost anything. Because I'm thinking, that hope, is what's going to help alot of people make it through these hard times. Sometimes just reading a good book can help you escape into another place. Or, at the very least, give you something to look forward to. I'm sure your books have given that kind of comfort to many people. Oh, I do have one question for you......do Vampires celebrate on New Years Eve too?

LOL, Pat, that's a good question. I suppose even vampires like a party and a drink on New Year's Eve! Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
