7 DAYS LATER

Well, I said it before, I'll say it again...I can't believe it's been a week since my last entry. I'm happy to say that my Silhouette Romance, CALLIE'S COWBOY, is a finalist in the Smoky Mountain Romance Writers contest for published authors. It came as a surprise, since I'd forgotten I entered the contest! Sure be fun to win!

My new book, NIGHT'S KISS, is out in some places even though it's not supposed to be in stores until February. I hope you'll go out and pick up a copy or 20 or 30 :)

My turtles are getting bigger. I can't believe how cute they are, or how much they eat!!!

I've been working on a new time travel book...

Stopped at the Disney store today and bought a talking Edna doll...you know, from THE INCREDIBLES. It was a buy I couldn't resist...originally priced at $39.50, it was on sale for $5.00!!!! She was my favorite character in the film. The doll is a hoot! She actually talks to you! I wish I'd bought a dozen for gifts, she is soooooo cute!!!!

Hope you're all having fun!

Nothing in particular

Well, my goodness, it's been a week since I wrote anything. I admire those who have wonderful, funny things to say every day, and the time to jot it down. Wish I was one of them!

I've been very busy but, looking back, I can't tell you what I've been so busy doing. It finally stopped raining! A friend of mine said California hasn't had a winter this bad since 1867. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's certainly the worst winter that I can remember. Mudslides and floods have taken lives and destroyed property. My heart goes out to those who have lost homes and loved ones. It never fails to amaze me how quickly one's life can be turned upside down!

On a happier note, I'm looking forward to seeing two of my books published in the next two months. Night's Kiss will be out in February, and Every Inch a Cowboy will hit the shelves in March.

I hope 2005 is being good to you.

first blog of the new year

Well, here it is, the sixth of January. The new year is almost a week old already!

Did the usual new year things...stayed up late, ate too much, kissed my loved one.

We had a heck of a storm the other night - thunder, lightning, rain, and hail! It was awesome.
It is reallly cold here in Sunny California. Not as cold as it is in other places in the country. My cousin, a native Californian, recently moved to Colorado. She wrote and told me it was -9 degrees, with a wind chill factor of -26. That's way too cold for me!

Hope 2005 is being good to you!
