Thoughts on Being Sick

Nothing like being down with a bad cold to make you appreciate being well!!!! I've been sick since last Thursday. I think I spent most of Saturday and Sunday asleep!

Feeling a little better today. Not good, not bad, exactly, just kind of blah, you know? No energy to do anything, no desire to get dressed. Sigh.

Since I don't feel like doing much of anything, I decided to have a Vampire Diaries marathon. So far, I've watched all of Season 1 and started Season 2.

What a difference, to watch a series with no interruptions!!! You can actually SEE Damon falling in love with Elena....I've always been a Delena fan and will be sorely disappointed if they don't end up together.

I have to admit, I think the show made a mistake when they brought in so many new characters and started writing such convoluted plots. Not to mention it got tiring watching people die and come back to life time after time after time.

Truth be told, if it wasn't for Ian Somerhalder, I probably would have stopped watching the show after Season 3.

Then there's The Originals. I love Elijah, but even he wasn't enough to keep me watching. Too much fighting. Too many people getting their hearts ripped out. Too much bloodshed. Yes, I know, they're vampires, but all that bloodshed gets old fast. And, BTW, is there any reason the vampires have to be such sloppy eaters????????????

Hope the New Year is treating you right!

So, a new year. 2015. Am I the only one who thinks it sounds like science fiction? Wasn’t it only yesterday we were all worrying about 2000 and what it might bring? Hard to believe that was 15 years ago.

2014 was a pretty good year in some ways. Not so good in others. I submitted two books to my publisher. They turned both of them down, which pretty much means that I’m out of work. One of the books was a historical time travel - they didn’t like the time travel element, said they didn’t think my readers would like it. The second is a sequel to As Twilight Falls. They said vampires aren’t selling any more. I suppose both books will end up as eBooks sometime this year.

My next book, Night’s Surrender, will be published in September. After that, who knows?

My book, Beauty’s Beast, is in the Preditors and Editors Reader Poll. Would love your vote! It’s quick and easy. Vote here   Thanks bunches!

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year filled with good books.
