I hate needles

Had to go have my annual blood test today. Not a pleasant experience. For one thing, they can never find my veins.  The vampire/nurse poked me in both arms and both hands before she finally found a vein....and then she said it was coming out a drop at a time! At least it was red.

Fires continue to consume California.

The weather remains HOT

My Muse has taken a leave of absence.

I'm waiting for my cover artist to create a cover for the book I just finished, which I love. Hated to see it end, can't wait to see it published, although it won't be out until next year.

And the pandemic goes on............

Wishing you a wonderful day in spite of bad news everywhere you look.

Decided I'd post an old cover every now and then, or, in this case, three, since it's a series - Everlasting Kiss, Everlasting Desire, and Everlasting Embrace.

Keep smiling 💓

Just hi

Just stopping by to say hi.  I love the book I recently finished. I love everything about it - the hero, the heroine, the setting - everything. Hated to see the book end. Of course, I have to read through it again before it's ready for publication, but I can't wait to get this one out there. No title yet.

It starts like this:

Demetri stood atop the roof of the old manor house he called home. Located in the small village of Woodridge Township, it stood at the peak of a high plateau, overlooking the small seaside town below. All looked peaceful in the light of the midnight moon, but with his preternatural vision, he could see the footpads haunting the dark streets, the night guards patrolling the wealthier part of town, the drunks huddled in the alleys, bottles clutched like lovers to their chests, the light skirts plying their age-old trade along the wharf.

He frowned when he saw a young woman creeping down one of the back streets. She stopped frequently to glance over her shoulder. He rarely involved himself in mortal affairs, but he found himself wondering who she was running from, and why.

He leaned forward as a man wearing a black mask stepped out of the shadows and trailed the woman. The stalker caught up with the woman a block later. Catching her around the throat, he slammed her up against the side of a building.

Moonlight glinted off the knife in his hand.

Hi ~ Just wanted to post the cover for my upcoming book, DARK OF THE MOON. No pub date at the moment, but it should be out before the end of the year.

This is a book I started years ago and finally finished.

Next year, NIGHT'S ILLUSION, my last book in the Children of the Night series, will be published. I'm sure going to miss these characters.

Hi ~ So, California is on fire. Smoky skies overhead, air unhealthy.

Maybe our stupid governor and the legislature will decide it's time...well, far past time, to start taking better care of our forests - remove dead trees, etc., and stop blaming climate change for their ridiculous policies and total lack of leadership.

On a brighter note, I've started a new historical Western. It's been a long time since I've written one - the last being Find the Lightning. I've tried several times to write another one, but my Muse hasn't been in the mood. But, I've decided to try again. Keep your fingers crossed 😀

Available now ~

Stay safe out there.

WOW

Hi ~ I can't believe I completely forgot about my blog. Not that I ever posted all that often. Of course, with this stupid virus playing havoc with our lives, there's not a lot to write about.

However, I do have a new book out, Enchant the Night. It was published last month.

My next book, Night's Illusion, will be published next August. It will most likely be the last book in my Children of the Night series. The hero in this one is Father Lanzoni, who has been a minor character in all the other books. I thought it was time he had a story, and a love, of his own.

I have a book coming out in the near future titled Dark of the Moon. It's a sequel to a book I wrote back back in 2008 titled Dead Perfect.

At the moment, I'm working on a new vampire book that I really love.

I hope you're all staying safe.
